Guided trophy mule deer hunts

Anyone been on one? Are they under 5k? I want to try one but have no idea who are good outfitters that aren't high as giraffe pussy. Seems like most are like 6 grand which seems pretty damn high. Any insight? Also if I can get a good deal on a trophy whitetail I'd take that as well but I'm kinda enamoured with a mulie for some reason. If I get one I want to do a pack mount I think

They are not cheap and most only offer 150 to 180 inch bucks. Northstar Outfitters in Alberta Canada has 200" plus bucks for about the same price. You can add around $2k to the price for expenses and tips.

Check out Two creeks Outfitters on facebook. The owner is a friend of mine and a awesome guide.

haven't been but been shopping around some in TX. Agree price seems high, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense just to do this once a year instead of paying for a lease somewhere.

Man Ive wanted to try that. Are the tags easy to draw? Whats the process? How much does it cost to do that? Ive got clothing already and weapons obviously. I do only have some heavy rubber boots so may need boots. Whats the dates and weather like?

If you have to go next fall, and haven’t built any points, it’ll cost you a lot of money.
I went on an outstanding wilderness area Muley hunt in Nevada with Blaine Jackson some years back. We put in for the guide draw with him, and got tags.
Quality mule deer hunting is in high demand, as the development of the West has ruined some winter range.
Over the past three years, I’ve cashed in my Wyoming and Colorado deer points on DIY hunts. Lots of fun. I believe I posted about both of them on here.

Have a good buddy that is an outfitter in the Texas panhandle, Pampa, tx. He also has pronghorn and whitetail up there. Not sure of his prices but he's a great guy and worth a call.

Buy them
Or If you apply for a tag and don’t get it, you get a point in some states.

Help me out please....
So, if he draws he has to pay the over 650 bucks for a tag plus draw fee.
If he doesn't draw and he buys over the counter he pays over 650 for the tag.
Why with no points is it a lot of money (basically the same money) when it's a lot regardless?

I love mule deer hunting. One of my favorite animals to chase.
At your budget; you are basically looking at drawing a tag in Western NE, WY, MT, TX or possibly Eastern Colorado and chasing 140-160” class mule deer with an very outside chance of one bigger. In all of these drawing a tag on your first chance is somewhat probable.
For 170” or better mule deer you are looking at $6,500 minimum nowadays. Realistically; it’s usually higher than that. Still will have to draw a tag and it may take years to get one. The Unit I hunted in Utah last year generally takes 8-12 points to get a rifle tag. Got a good one after 5 days of glassing. This one grossed 174” for perspective.
That price for trophy hunts can quickly get to $10,000+ for guaranteed landowner tags. If money is no object; look at AZ, UT, NM or head south of the border to Sonora.

It’ll cost him a lot of money because he’ll pay an outfitter a lot of money.
