Niceeeeee

No scope on that beauty! I'd hang it on the wall, but I guess being married you can't do shite like that no more

Congrats bud

Congrats on the marriage and the rifle. I agree with everyone else. Shoot the iron sights. Those rifles are plenty accurate without a scope. I have one that I use for squirrel with iron sights. Love it.

nice. I had been wanting a henry for a long time and a few months ago found one brand new in the box still wrapped in plastic at a yard sale. Bought it in with a bunch of other stuff $50 so figure I paid around $5 for it once broken down by item. Its not the golden boy like yours though...mine just the H001 but still love it.

Got married last week and my groomsmen surprised me with an awesome piece.
who broke the law and bought this gun to give to someone else?

i love my .22lr Glden boy. Dont put a scope on it. then only thing i dont like is the brass on the butt slips on your shoulder. I would like to find some type of cushion i can slip on to prevent that. and yes it is VERY accurate.

Go with a Lyman or Marble’s tang sight. Looks great and very accurate.

Tang sight or something like the Skinner peep sights.

Congrats! I prefer just using the iron sights on a lever gun (no scope).

Same. I have a Henry .22 also and just couldn’t force myself to put a scope on it and ruin the “cowboy” style. Love shooting that thing. I just bought another rifle with a scope when I wanted to shoot with a scope.

no scope on mine either. not necessary at all for anything 100 yards or less except maybe looking for squirrels up high esp when leaves are still thick. I did take the ring off my front sight bc I use mine a lot at night shooting bull frogs and it put to much shadow on the front sight but with it off have no trouble head shooting frogs from the middle of the bayou.

I've got a '76 Marlin 39A with a Leupold rimfire on it. I'm in the minority I guess, but I love having the scope on it. The rifle is very accurate and it really helps with trying to headshoot squirrels.

Thanks for all the feedback dudes. Ms Bapple is certainly a keeper since this was her suggestion to my groomsmen when they ask. She said I had mentioned it a long time ago and she wrote it down.

I’m still leaning towards scope since it’s a 22 mag. If I get a regular 22LR down the road I’ll probably just leave it with irons.
