You can buy then on Amazon for under $50 that'll work great for what you're wanting.

Light fishing you have to fish in spurts, the fish scare off pretty easily in my experience. Catch a couple on one person's dock and then move on to the next and come back around a bit later.

Thanks for all the feedback. I was looking at this one on Amazon LINK and I’ll go ahead and buy it and give it a try. Between the larger hardwired dock lights and this hopefully we can scratch something out.

If I can get a little extra time I’ll try to build one like a few have mentioned.

Agree, pick up one or two then move down to next light.

Be careful with electrical installations on your docks, fellas. If you have 120V that somehow contacts the water you can kill anyone who decides to go in for a swim. The voltage might not kill them outright but it’ll freeze them long enough for the water to. GFCIs can save a life.

I read about this way too often.

Yes yes and yes

I fished corpus a couple of years ago at night hitting those things up behind where Snoopys restaurant was. Insane action on trout and reds.

One of the best 4 nights of my life fishing the coast. So much fun.

We used live shrimp, no weights, no corks. Cast and watch the guys get inhaled.

We had the underwater lights at our bay house for a while. The arse hats in kayaks kept hooking them and dragging them around. They finally shorted one of them out so I pulled the other one up..

Point taken. Of the five units I have on my dock they are protected either GFCI on the plug, receptacle or a ground fault/arc fault breaker at the box. I'm GFIC/GRAF aware.

Any of you ever set up a 12v system with solar panels to charge batteries? Would love to have a light on my dock by the pond but don’t have electrical down there.
