I would wager that u could teach a complete novice to get the slide off of a glock quicker than to do the same to an XD. Its minor but they are both second rate plastic guns anyway. ;)

I worked at a gun range a few years ago, and have shot almost every pistol out there.
Go to a local range and rent the Glock in. 45. It's a different animal that most people do not like.

That's the best thing to do. The only x-factor the Academy gun section master can't tell you about is how it feels in your hand. I have a Sprinfield and it fits my hand better than a Glock does.

I have both and I prefer my XDM head and shoulders above the glock fwiw.
