I have a few places in mind that I'm going to try. What type of bank/structure do y'all generally look for? What weather/time of day? Do yall just jig the heck out of tree tops or have better luck on different bottom contours? I'm probably going to try this weekend if i can keep myself from bass fishing.

Don't Pee in the wind,
Don't fish Half moon pit with a blue jig 4 foot deep, because there are no Sac-a-lait.

Haha I've never been there. I wasn't asking for super secret spots...just general knowledge. Thanks for letting me know to steer clear lol

Only go fishing between 2 and 6 pm. Don't bring any water. Use the highest spinner bait you can and fish as close to stumps as possible.
Oh you want CRAPPIE tips. Not CRAPPY tips. Sorry

Following.
Got plenty of bass, bream, and catfish in the freezer, but i cant seem to find any perch. Usually bring minnows with us, along with crickets and worms, when my gf and i go fishing, but we rarely get on any perch with the minnows. I have a couple different hair jigs we have tried, but we havent had any luck.

Next time you go bring a large minnow net, and scoop up some grass from the water and pick out any grass shrimp you find.

I always liked throwing beetle spins or tandem rigged Mr. Twister’s sling grass lines. I haven’t been white perch fishing in years though.

This time of year they're going to be suspended in/over deep water and be difficult to catch with any consistency.

I'd Caught Bass, Perch and Sac a lait on grass shrimp.

Are you fishing a river system, canals, or a lake? Reason I ask is the approach at all three in August are different.

grass shrimp.
When I was a kid, we had a family camp on Lake Fields. Every morning we’d go out to the dock and catch grass shrimp. We caught every kind of fish in the water using that as bait. Those were the days. Thanks for reminding me.
