Looks like it's already time to watering everyday. It's warm and hasn't rained here in a while.

Same here in Cola, SC. I watered Friday evening, was out of town and came back Sunday morning to wilted plants.

Here's my setup. Again I have no idea what I'm doing

Everything from seed except 2 tomato plants, basil, and the brussel sprouts.

There’s no one size fits all gardening rule. Trial and error and patience are your best friend. I learn something new every year.

Picked green beans for the first time this evening, by this tome next week I should be covered up in em. Cucumbers look real good. My tomatoes are finally filling out so they should be ok, but I did lose one plant

You guys have any idea what could be causing these brown spots on my tomato plant leaves? And/or what do I need to do to fix it?

It only seems to be on the leaves towards the bottom of the plant.

I’m not sure but mine have the same exact thing. I lost one plant but the others seem to be ok so far

It could possibly be a fungis. How much do you water it? If you look through the thread someone mentioned a good fungicide for veggies.

Looks a little bit like leaf spot. Mild case if it is. Hard to tell if it’s fungal or bacterial. The only thing I know that treats both is liquid copper. Maybe try that and alternate with daconil.

How tall are the plants? Once my plants get big enough I usually chop off every branch about a foot and a half up. If you can mulch around them, that’ll prevent the soil from splashing up onto your leaves. Just don’t let the mulch touch the base of the plant. Keep it a couple inches from the base.

The plants are about 2.5' tall. I'm going to get some liquid copper. Both of the plants have set fruit but neither are producing yet. I got a late start with them. I'll probably prune down by the soil and add mulch as well.

Just keep the water off the leaves..that's it..cut lower leaves..or apply copper sulphate..my tomatoes are 6' tall and I had the same problem 3 weeks ago

So, I’ve been pretty busy all weekend. This afternoon was the first time I checked my garden all weekend. Geez, you turn your back for one second.....

Lots of cucumbers there. I'll finally be picking tomatoes this week. Eggplant and spaghetti squash aren't far behind.

Those cucumbers have me jealous. Is it too late to plant a few cucumbers in above ground garden? Planning to use mineral buckets from the cows.
If I have time, can I just grab some plants from home depot? What kind of soil should I put in the buckets? THanks in advance, I haven't done my homework at all. I do have time to get things going tomorrow though.

They’re a tropical plant. It’s not too late. They should make all summer.

I sell to a few groceries so I grow a good size garden. I have a little over 300 tomatoes planted and have been picking large and grape tomatoes for 2 weeks. Squash and zucchini for about a month now. I plant really early.

I've been having a backyard garden most of my life as an adult and in my current home for over 20 years running with only a year long break after Katrina.

I picked 4 gallons worth of soybeans I use for edamame just this past Saturday and have been picking Japanese Yard Long and Kentucky Wonder pole beans for days now. I've also picked a few cucumbers of which I have 2 varieties, one for pickling and one for slicing.

I have Swiss Chard, Kale, Beets, Onions and Garlic that overwintered and doing well.

My bell pepper plants have fruit coming in with some ready to pick in another week or so, but my super hot peppers will be several more weeks before I see anything to pick. The super hot peppers really thrive in our summer heat. I also have corn about 6 ft. tall and okra planted that are about 1 ft. tall.

My green beans are almost finished. I'll be removing them next weekend and will plant okra.

I'm going to guess bush type beans. I like them for their big harvests the first 2-4 pickings, but they do taper off pretty quick after that.

Daconil once a week or after an evening rain. They will be fine, if they get too nasty looking, brownish around the edges really bad just pull the leaf off. You don't have to pull off every leaf with spots on it, just use the Daconil, usually keeps it from getting worse.

I'll finally be picking tomatoes this week

I’m hoping to. Got a ton of green tomatoes on the plants. Still waiting for them to start turning red.

I’m running out of time. We finally put our house on the market. It went under contract in a week. I only have about a month till closing. So I’d like to get some damn tomatoes before I move.
