I hate dodge but currently hate my f250 as well...basically because of the motor. 2004 6.0 diesel is a POS, stay away from the 6.0 if anyone wants to go that route.

Tundra. Will last longer if that matters to you.

Just curious as to what track record you're referencing when you say this? Yeah they might put out a decent car, but they haven't really been producing large trucks but for maybe 12-15 years. Not really long enough to say they "last longer" IMO.

I've been shopping all three in 3/4 ton. Going buy a ford Tom but that's just because I have a padnuh that runs a large dealership and I can get the best deal on ford right now. All three are putting out great trucks right now. Have good insentives through wed by the way.

I'd jump on a 6.0 which you'd get for a deal, shell out a bit to have it bulletproofed, and it's a great motor.

Have you not deleted the EGR yet? Replaced the head studs?

I recently drove and evaluated them all before buying. I was "sure" I was getting a tundra, but wanted to check them all out, except Dodge. After a month of extensive homework, I bought the Ram Laramie Crew. I thought if had a better exterior, better highway ride and smoother performance, a nice interior, and solid 3rd party reviews (2013 truck of the year). The private equity guys running Dodge are making the right moves. It didn't hurt that they were more willing to make a deal either.

And especially this:

Assuming you're looking at half tons, F150 and Ram are the top two right now. The 2013 Ram's are loaded with new tech. We have two 2011 Ram Crew Cab Sports in my family, both have had 0 issues and have been all around great trucks. Transmission issues are much more rare now in the Rams than people make it seem like. Also, now you can either get the new ZF 8 speed or the older 65rfe 6 speed in the half tons - both solid transmissions.

I always hear just as good of things about the new F150s as well.

Just go test drive them all and make an informed decision yourself. The pickup truck market is too biased - everyone, including myself , will just tell you what they have is the best.

I'm no Chevy fan between the bailout and my 1/2 ton I have now but they can hold their own with the duramax/Allison combo. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I could get the right price.

The T100, Toyotas first full sized truck, came out in late 92 as a 93 model.

Didn't Ford get several billion from the government before we put the bailout tag on the term. And I think ford has still yet to pay it back.

Fords the only one that didn't take a bailout! Keep up with the news!

I was referring more to half tons.

As far as 2500 and 3500 trucks go, Ram is lagging behind. The Ram has been coming in third to both for some time now, but I think that may change once Ram adds the HD air suspension option to the trucks. Also pretty sure Ram changed the suspension up a bit on HD trucks...so we'll see. The GMC/Chevy has won all the HD shootouts I've seen...GMC Denali dually got rave reviews.

Yeah, Toyota may have classified it as a fullsize truck for marketing purposes, but you're not going to put a 4 banger in any truck and call it a "full size." You get midsize at best, which is in reality, what the T100 was.
