I usually enjoy friendly conversation and talking shite to the others on the boat if they aren't catching and I am.
Also in a spin off question does anyone have the radio cranked up while fishing? I usually don't but I have been with someone where he had it cranked up playing the golden oldies from the time we launched till we came back to the landing.

We talk shite constantly when we are on the boat. Lots of extra grunting and hooting and hollering when we think a fish is big.
My last trip, the word butt-hurt was thrown around a bunch because my buddy had a massive backlash and threw his rod.

I talk a good bit when I'm on the boat. Fishing is all about the bullshitting to me. I'd rather not hear the annoying BEEEEEEEEEEEP coming from the little satellite rig deal. frick THAT.
