Didn't catch that part at first, but yeah, the white trout are insanely thick on pretty much all of the inshore reefs right now.

You don’t have to go to the islands for white trout. Outside the bay or near any piers on the beach they’re everywhere right now. My son has been tearing their butts up this past week with a few ground mullet and keeper specks mixed in.

If this helps: We have 30 crabs today in 3 traps baited (last night) with fish carcasses. Fish were caught on the train bridge yesterday deep jigging. Just drifted until we found a school. Clean trout bite and almost all of them were legal.

I really enjoy the area. I grew up going down there when my family had a condo in Long Beach which Katrina leveled.

My wife and kids go down several times a year and stay at the Inn By The Sea on Henderson Point. It’s a quick drive, less busy, and has awesome restaurants in the area (Steve’s Marina is my favorite).

Inshore fishing in Louisiana will spoil you when compared to other areas. It seems whenever we are in Pass Christian either fishing is hot or it’s completely dead. I only wade fish, so my spots are limited.

We drove through to get there. Closest we got after that was eating at Bachhus on the Beach. We had a good time there. Mostly chilled out at the rental. Going back to Biloxi in a couple weeks for a casino trip.
