Does anyone here have a resource for firewood on the Northshore? I had a guy bringing me a cord but now can't get to it due to the wet conditions.

I'd like to purchase at least a half cord tomorrow, if at all possible. I can pick it up if needed.

On Brewster road in Madisonville there's a place that has cords stacked out front and a sign with their number. West from 1077, before perrilioux on the north side.

There's a guy in Lacombe (Big Branch, technically) on 190, just before you get to La Provence. Not sure of his prices or availability but I always see him there.

There was a guy in front of the big church across from Mandeville Sports Complex last weekend with a trailer full. Maybe look for him again this weekend.

Also, hit the Facebook marketplace. See people advertising it on there all the time.

I thought I had plenty to last the winter, but we burned a shite ton of it over the last month. No one seems to have dry wood right now. I talked to one guy today that said he had a tree down and would cut some tomorrow for me. What kind of shite is that?

I'm on cord number two from Jimmy, the old brotha that lives right east of Wham on 134. Jimmy's split wood supply would probably rival what's standing in the Redwood forrest.

My son has been splitting firewood and selling it for the past six months. He’s a high school baseball kid hustling for extra money. He has a steady supply of trees being that my brother clears land. If you are interested I will mention it to him tomorrow. He could probably get you some over the weekend but it won’t be dry. He has a good bit of lighter to put with the firewood. He just hasn’t been able to keep up with demand. Probably split and sold 20 cords in the past six months between school, baseball, hunting, and girlfriend. Proud Papa! Just let me know if you’re interested.

Sounds like you've got an awesome young man there.

I appreciate the response. I may indeed reach out and let you buy some for next year. I need dry wood now though.

I have some super dry live oak you can come by and get some if you want. I have a splitter if you need more than I have split.

When it's cold there are usually 3 trucks where 190 turns into 25 just past that walgreens and mcdonalds. If I wasn't going to the camp this afternoon I'd check for you on the ride home. During the freeze 2 weeks ago they were there every afternoon.

The guy in 1088 across from Mandeville Sports Complex is there right now, if you're still in need.

Appreciate the follow-up. I picked up half a cord this afternoon in Folsom.
