I have been very close to some bears but they always took off when I got near them.
I encounter bears all the time in the summer, but they don't like being near people. Densest bear population in the world is on Admiralty Island, just about 10 miles from here. Its rare to find one continue coming toward you, particularly in the water. It was a bit freaky.

1) Sight fishing for reds on tourney day.
2) topwater for specs.
3) bass fishing.
4) fly fishing for bull bream when the worms are falling from the trees.
5) hiking any mountain area.

That would be my second choice

Freshwater fishing (live too far from coast to fish salt regularly) and turkey hunting. Getting a gobbler to answer your call is great stuff and actually more fun than shooting it.

Fishing in Lake d'Arbonne on the hottest day of the year with a handful of sunflower seeds in my cheek.

When the fish hit on the hulls instead of the bait, just admit defeat. It happens.

Funny, I went veggie a few years ago, and I don't even eat fish...but I still love fishing. I'll either catch/release or just fish with and for somebody else.

I used to go mud riding all the time but that shite got expensive fast. Lol. Now I'm gearing up for deer season so I guess that's my favorite right now. Bass fishing is probably second followed by golf.

i do laugh watching those two go at it
my favorite thing to do is running jug lines or grabbing frogs. i love both of those.
bow hunting and listening to a pack of beagles hot on a rabbits arse ranks up there also.
