Yano, we really cook way to much at the camp...
something y'all need to try.. Fried baby back ribs, shrimp w cream cheese, jalapenos wrapped in bacon
but one of my favorite things that I rarely do anywhere else but the camp is to get a cast iron skillet as hot as i can and blacken the hell outta some fish! A true blacken with the smoke and all... Good shite right there

We have an older man that mainly cooks at our camp too. He says he loves to come out here with us and cook, dude makes some amazing gar fish spagetti and deer/duck in a gravy. We have our bachelor parties there also and when my uncles come out there it's duck/pheasent wrapped in bacon with a jalapeno inside, fried brim/cats, elk/buffalo steaks, duck gumbo, fried gator (camp is right next to a lake that's infested), and if you're not full by then they finish you off with some buffalo chili. Not to mention the booze and strippers later.
eta: a few commas needed to be fixed.

its a damn good thing we can talk about this on this board. alot of folks on the food board would be horrified with all the fried backstrap and "stuffed" food. you people have no culinary taste!
damn boys, ya'll got me hungry![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)

I think even the worst food snob would say that this type of food is allowed at the camp.

Good hunting/fishing to you.

Fried baby back ribs,
Say what? I need some details.
Oh and this thread has got me ready for some camp food! We need to start an outdoor board camp recipe thread.

quote:not my speciality but they basically prep them like backstrap and fry at a lower temp (so it won't burn) for like 10 min or something. Don't quote me on that though.. My neighbor does it for breakfast and they are awesome

Breakfeast is my favorite camping meal. Bust out a Coleman stove and food tastes 10x better for some reason
