Need some ideas to get the old man. Big time outdoor guy and loves fishing.
I typically give him a GC to Academy or pick up some fishing shirts for him but I'm trying to switch it up this year.

My dad recently got an electric belt driven knife sharpener (forget which brand).
He won't shut up about it now.
Highly recommend

SeaTow membership
That's a great idea.
Ask what area he mainly fishes and get a Seatow or Boat US membership for that area.
You don't think you need it until you really need it and it will save you from the $600 tow and cover your boat AND or any boat you are driving.

Left out White Oakleys/Costas baw.
To the OP, why not a guided fishing trip?

I get my father and father-in-law fruit trees for every holiday. Both have more crap than they use already. They appreciate the trees.

Experiences are more valuable than things for old-timers. Guided fishing trip or bowfishing trip.

Agree on the Worksharp. I don't have one but I have a buddy that hunts, fishes, and caters BBQs and whatever. He got one for his knives after trying several different systems. The guy raves about how easy it is to use and how sharp it gets his knives. If you go that way, you can get the basic Worksharp for about $70. The "Ken Onion" edition is like the deluxe setup and you can score it for under $150 with tax. It's on my Father's Day wish list.
