The old way for me is my teens and early farming career: like 2002-2015.

Yea, I really do. My best memories are me and my brother running pickers and my dad in the module builders. We had two way radios in all the tractors so everybody was trash talking about college football or whatever. Some years we would have 4500 acres of cotton and just two pickers so we were around each other a lot.

Yeah the farm my dad managed when I was growing up would be around 4000 cotton acres every year. Now we grow around 1500-2000, but it's custom picked so they would bring in 3 or 4 pickers and would have the same kind of feel.

Now it's just two pickers and a tractor

Yeah that clown ambulance chaser that runs Morgan and Morgan is starting a jihad against Monsanto and Bayer. The media coverage is really whipping it up into a frenzy and the lawyers know the chem companies have deep pockets. I expect it to be ridiculous early next summer.

Already been a killing over it.

A pesticide a pigweed and a farmer's murder

Seeing how most of the resident farming boys are in this thread I was wondering if I could get yalls input.

So thinking of a possible career change down the road an AG is something that has always interested me. I occasionally will look to see whats out there job wise and its usually very sparse in LA and the south in general. I know right now the industry is down so that may play a part but I have always heard it is a difficult industry to break into.

Now I know most of yall are farmers but is there any jobs in particular yall would recommend to look into? Crop consultant and chemical sales dont seem like to bad of gigs to have.
