False River boat launch

Where is the best place to launch at false river? Just looking to take the family out for a cruise and grab lunch.

There are three primary ones. In New Roads there is The Landing/Satterfield's and Morrell's. Both are fine, and are probably only about 300 yards apart. There is also the Sand Bar, which is about ten miles outside of New Roads. The Sand Bar is the most full service; food, bar, and gas. The Landing has gas and a bar. Morrell's just has a restaurant.

Morels is the best one downtown New Roads, they just redid it last winter. With the water a little lower than usual right now it's safe as far as traction

LA Express launch on 413 in Jarreau. Get your fuel, beer and snacks all in one place. Plus we need the tax revenue on the island.

You aren’t launching a boat at the sand bar.
There are a couple of landings on the island side as well if you don’t want to drive into town.
