How much weight can I carry in the bed of my F250?

On 3/4 and 1-ton trucks, the answer is "more than you think". I've done 3500 on both my F250 and 2500HD, and didn't feel unsafe at all.


Eta: Just don't drive like you have an empty bed. The front end gets light at that weight, but the rest of the truck doesn't have a problem

Assuming you have load range e tires. I know some guys are out there putting big C/D range tires on their trucks and that becomes limiting pretty quick

I normally run 55psi in the back. Last time I had a pallet of wet St Aug in there, I immediately thought "oh shite", and went right to a gas station to air up. Tires were definitely bulging bad

I have to pick up two pallets of river stones to put a round a culvert on a driveway the guy at the place said each pallet is 2500 pounds I should be able to do one at a time right?

i've had about 65 or so bags of mulch on a pallet before. Squatting really good.
