How many of you use the drive modes, or do you just hop in and drive on the default mode? I use Eco mode almost exclusively to get the most MPG I can. I do use towing when pulling my boat and notice it uses the gears to engine brake when slowing down. Just curious

Don't try to pass anyone when in Eco!

I tried the towing mode, but it didn't feel good. The sport mode is cool, but probably burns quite a bit of gas!

I'll use eco when put-putting around town and tow mode for pulling my boat. Tow mode tops out in 8th gear at 55MPH when normally I'd be in 10th at that same MPH. I've been getting mid 17s MPG in Eco when normally I'd get around 15ish MPG. 3.5L and 35x12.5 tires.

Just got my first F150. Coming from a truck that had a tow button, curious about tow mode. I'm going to be pulling a golf cart this weekend. Any need to put it in tow mode? Or just let it ride on default?

I use regular around town/traffic, eco on straight interstate drives, and tow when doing the boat.
Tow mode I have 100% confidence in, the difference in going up the launch/hills is night and day on the engine. Idk eco even works proficiently tho since my mpg on eco stays similar to the regular mode. I've heard others say the same.

Believe tow haul mode generally, across all trucks, firms up shifts which is better for your transmission.

I always forget it is there, but mine is a 5.0. Sport I can notice a difference a little (I bet a pedal commander and sport mode would make it pick up quick) but the few times I tested eco mode I was getting the same mpg but it was a hilly drive.

My BIL's eco boost definitely had more snap off the jump and sport mode was noticeably snappier in his. (then again im convinced my truck is a "covid" truck as there are a few little annoyances that make me scratch my head). Tow mode is the bomb at the launch.

Default, Eco, and Towing. I did notice the other day my locking differential was engaged, so I hope I didn't hurt anything.

I use Eco almost exclusively unless I’m on an unpaved road.
