Anybody ever dealt with these guys? Trying to get a leveling kit and he is charging me $75 for labor as opposed to CSC, light line etc. charging 175+.

I know it's a rip off either way, but I'm not doing it my self. Just trying to see if these guys are worth driving to gonzales to drop the truck off and for half the price.

ETA: anyone heard of kirks has the works. They're substantially less than most other people in BR. Any experience with them?

I would take kirks off the list. I have never heard anything good about them when it comes to installing lifts. I know a few people who have gone to CSC and they had no issues. Is the $75 including the alignment?

CSC did mine with the alignment for the 175. Had me in and out in 3 hours. Not spacers either. Bilstien 5100s front and rear. Great people to deal with. Just my .02 worth.

Then why is CSC trying to charge me $450 for a 2.5 level and alignment.

Knowing what type of truck you have might help. When I was looking at getting mine leveled (09 silverado 1500) csc quoted me $300 for every thing. I ended up doing it myself though.

Ford f150 xlt 2013 2wd. 450 was kit ($100) install ($250) and alignment ($100). I just can't spend 250 for labor seems a lot.

2inch zone level.

Kirks put a roll and lock bed cover on my truck.

No complaints except the price of the r&l.

Edit: I just saw you said Gonzales. I dealt with the one in br on airline.

Gonzales is for extreme liners. The kirks was on airline. They have been the most reasonable price so far. Just afraid of putting my truck in there and getting hit with a lot bigger bill or something like that. There are no good reviews online of them but they had the best price.

Ahh OK. I was a little confused.

No complaints with kirks. They were on time and no surprises.

I've only dealt with them that one time though.

You're getting jacked on the install pretty bad. I could do it without air tools in 30 minutes. Normal shop charges are $75/hr.

Jack up truck
Take tires off
Unbolt sway bar
Pop upper ball joint loose
Unbolt struts
Bolt spacers on
Do the reverse of what you just did

On a scale, it is probably a 2 out of 10 for hardness. A 1 out of 10 would be changing your air filter

Had a aux oil cooler added to a truck I bought new there. Less then 2 years later, one of the oil lines came off. Blew the transmission on that truck and they wouldn't take care of it.

So, screw them.

Except that you have to use the weight of the truck to compress the spring since it is now longer.

I'd say 4 or 5 for those who have never done it.

But I've installed two level kits and they weren't bad.

I cannot comment on the price that CSC gave you because I brought my own leveling kit to them. However, they charged me $120 to install it and align it.

Kirks has always been a no for me. Bck in high school, they botched a friend's bod lift real bad. I cannot remember exactly what it was but they didn't hook one of the hoses up properly and the truck stayed at the dealership for weeks getting fixed.

If you found a different place, that's cheaper, use them. Please report back with your experience (a leveling kit isn't going to tell the skill level of shop, unfortunately). Competition is good for all consumers but right now BR has Searchers for custom work and CSC for bolt on stuff. Imo.

I have a friend of a friend who was done a couple kits in his day. May send it to him. I can't imagine there are that many things that could possible be screwed by how easy you all make it sound.

I'd do that in a heartbeat. I really liked CSC's customer service so far, and they have been nothing but nice. Wish they weren't so damn high; I wouldn't mind giving my money to them.

I'd go with csc if i had to bring it somewhere...i have the same truck 2012 f150, I bought the hbs 2" level spacer and did it myself in about an hour for both sides it's really easy and a beginner can do it with the right tools. Stay away from kirks they will screw you on price

I'm a try to get a friend to do it, I can justify spending this much when others are saying they got it for half the price from the same places.

I am friends with CSC on Facebook. You can message them and tell them exactly what you want and they will shoot you a price. I negotiated them down a bit but they were always more than pleasant to work with. I believe that the owner (Chris) handles all the Facebook stuff too.

Also good to follow them on Facebook because they run specials all the time. From window tint to rims and tires.

They are dirt cheap compared to the other guys in town. I say other guys meaning guys that are competent (Light line (nothing but bad things to say about them) and Searchers (nothing but great things to say about their custom work but very $$$)).

Also, not sure if other shops do this but at CSC, they tell you to go back after 500 miles to check the bolts. No biggie. However, they go the extra mile to recheck your alignment to ensure that it is still straight.
