Anyone have experience with electric UTV's? The Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic, Hunt V, and American Made Amp has me curious....

Family wants a golf cart but I think that is a waste. We have the need for a utility vehicle to roam around our land so was hoping to knock out two birds in one stone.

Happy and Safe hunting!

I have been waiting on a Kinetic for two years now. A friend got one about a month ago. They are very nice, pricey but nice. We are electric only on our place so they make sense.

How much water does your place have? Also, the wife might not like you taking her rig hunting.

I've been wanting to ride one of the electric KTM dirt bikes bad. They probably be a blast on a track bc of the acceleration. Don't think I could buy one though because I prefer to trail ride and I think the run time is only a little over an hour.

Buddy has a kinetic.

It's retardedly fast from 0-50.

Immediately got a safety thing on it from polaris.

He sent it to me to read it... If you power brake it, it may enter safe mode.

Leave it to some redneck to hop in a 30k electric side by side and be like... I'm gonna roast the tires on this fricker.

ETA: the only electric I had considered was the brawley. It was originally 25k with AC, full cab, long travel and a cab. I was going to sneakily street plate it and then have an EV commuter worth driving.

And then it was 50k when released.

The idea was dead until riding in a kinetic. The power compared to a regular ranger is just incredible. I definitely could see myself buying one after a year or two of bug fixes. But I will need the longer range version.

The price from the 2023 kinetic to 2024 model has increased $7,500.00. I’ve been looking for a 23 model. I talked to a dealer a few weeks ago that the kinetic is under a “No sale/No ride recall” due to stuck accelerator. Ive ridden in one and was very impressed. Don’t know if I want to pay an additional 7,500 for newer model. I don’t know if there are many upgrades due to price increase or not. The dealer I spoke with didn’t mention any. He wasn’t happy with Polaris.

One of my close friends is a Polaris dealer.

No dealers are happy with them right now.
Polaris is making them spend thousands of dollars on signage and other crap that will not help them all the while making it less profitable to sell one.
And on top of that they’re jacking up the prices so much that it will eventually hurt sales.

He’s actually seriously considering dropping them.

Cheapest side x side they have now will be 12k for the mid size if I remember right.

Tell that to dealers who only gave one brand not named polaris to sell

They make more money than ever to sell one. My discounts have gone feom 10ish% to 15ish% I spend a lot, but they don't like me that much.

Then he was never meant to be in business. One brand provided side by sides consistently through the pandemic. One brand has caught up to basically get you whatever you want. Cutting them would be slitting his own throat.

Unfortunately, the market headed that way. Polaris raised prices. Others raised the prices for dealers.

You think that sales guy cares about the quality difference between a yamaha and polaris? He only cares about which one puts money in his pockets.

I miss sub 10k side by sides. I don't miss shitty suspension, low power, being tippy, slow, and anything else about my old rhino

I can make it from my back door to 10 miles into the swamp in 15 minutes. On my rhino... That was almost an hour.

To be clear, I currently only have honda atvs, yamaha sidebysides, and my old ranger to work off of.

No brand loyalty here.
