Electric UTV or Golf Cart - recs and where to buy

My Yamaha Rhino knockoff is finally breaking down and I’d like to go electric. Sick of the noise. Used mainly for hunting. The Polaris EV looks comparable to my old UTV, but I suspect I could get away with a modified golf cart on most of the trails I use. Does the OB have any recs? And where to buy in Baton Rouge region?

If you buy an electric Polaris be crazy vigilant in your battery maintenance. You leave it under a lean-to and those batteries go bad then you are looking at $1k to replace them all.

I love my polaris EV but you have to maintain the batteries and keep it plugged in. Avoid polaris of BR!!

Get a 48v golf cart and mod it out.

Gayle Battery in Baker deals in all types of golf carts. They will also modify them.
They are at the Plank Rd and Dyer Rd intersection.

Any 48v golf cart will cost at least $800 to replace all batteries. At least that is the lowest I've found. Let me know if anyone has found cheaper

Just bought an EV. Do not regret it one bit. The ride and capabilities are 10x better than a suped up golf cart

Any torque issues with the EV? Any problems going up steep hills?

I hunt SW MS, Fayette to be exact. We have two creek crossings both with strep incline and declines. I always cross those in low range, 4WD. As soon as I get up the other side I just come almost to a stop, put it in max range, 2wd and go about my business.
Only time I've used it in High is around the neighborhood. I do have the manual watering system on it. Check it monthly. Plus, if youre handy enough, you can change the algorithm on the charger so that leaving it plugged up won't burn up the batteries
