I was suprised at how sore I was this morning from all that bow shooting yesterday.
Shot it again this evening, finished sighting it in (mostly) at 15 yds. I'm gonna sight in and mark all the distances on my sight (single pin) after a little more practice and I get some decent arrows. My bro tells me the $3 walmart arrows he gave me are too erratic to worry about trying to dial it in exactly right now
Pretty sure I'm hooked though

Go get you some of the cabela's stalker arrows. They are cheap and tough as shite. The ones your brother gave you are probably crooked aluminum ones. Just keep shooting.
A good thing to practice is drawing, holding for 20 or 30 seconds, and then shooting. That is much more likely to happen in the stand than just drawing, aiming, and shooting.

Thanks man. I'll probably make a trip to Cabelas in the evening after work one day next week.
Some guys make it look easy, I have to really concentrate to not shake when I release the arrow

You'll be doin the robin hood thing at 40 yards before you know it if you keep up the practice. It's REALLY hard to do, but you have to try and not shoot too much on one day.

I'll try
The coolest shite I've seen (unintentional) was my bro and his buddy shooting at the same target, they decided to stand 20 yards apart and shoot from different angles at the same time. My bros arrow hit his buddies arrow right before it hit the block and shattered it. Buddy wasn't pleased but it was awesome
Those frickers used to go shoot rabbits and coons all the time

When you finally go hunting, always bring an arrow with a junk broadhead on it for varmint extermination.

My brother always keeps a junk arrow with a judo point in his quiver
