How about a combo duck/hog hunt in east Texas for a spring Turkey hunt in LA? Our duck hunting is as easy as it gets. We wake up 1 hour before shooting time, drive up to the pond/lake, set out 1-3 dozen deeks, park the truck 50-75 yrds away in the woods, walk back hunker down and wait 15-20 for legal shooting time. We get a pretty mixed bag with teal, woodies, mallards, pintail, gadwalls, and divers. A few hours later we are eating breakfast and planning the afternoon deer/hog hunt. You don't even have to have waders if you don't already own them.

It is pouring rain here at the house and I am watching the boats come in to the launch. Some make a run for it at top speed and take the pelting rain. Others limp in, at idle, like a walk of shame. The experienced boaters know to stop or stay at the bar and have another drink…

I usually make the run at full speed and just take it

I've been hearing thunder all afternoon here but it's sunny. If it's raining your way it'll probably be making it's way here soon.

Damn, I'd trade you for a deer/fishing trip, but my boat would probably break down, it'd start raining, and be freezing, the boat would sink, then we'd get back to the bank and 4 wheeler wouldn't work.

I was having a bad couple of days because of my stress due to moving out. I am now completely done, and moving into my new badass house in the AM.
