Wanted to check how bad the hunters rutted it up this year.

It was there that I realised, I messed up

The water was less than ankle deep, the problem is the slough that crossed the pipeline was extremely soft.

2 hours with a comealong and she was out.

I don't see any ruts in front of your stuck truck, were you freelancing? Good job getting it out.

It is.

No damages. Intake is routed to right behind the driver mirror. And diffs and transfer vent lines are all routed into the cab.

Less than an eigth of an inch from getting water in the cab. Got lucky there.

Gonna service the hubs to make sure the seals held up. But I try to do that once every dew months anyways.

When I remembered the slough, the speedo was reading 70

I knew I was screwed and couldn't spin around at that moment.

You're lucky that pig didn't sink with you in it.

The rubicon, intelligently, stopped about 1k feet back.

It was not a place to take vehicles.

When I jumped down off the roof rack after calling for a tow, there was no hard bottom before my tackle hit the water.

Sad part is, that pipeline is a connection between our lease and a large portion of state land. Every summer we chop it, grade it, and bushhog it once at the end of summer. It isn't ours, hell I don't even know who owns it, but my paw paw always maintained it when he was alive, so we try to do the same.

For the first time since I was a kid, I'm the dumbass who rutted it up. Doesn't look like any of the hunting clubs went down it all this year. Stayed too wet.

That is the problem. I have a XJ and have no care if I rip it apart. Had already gone were 4x4 carts can't.

I can tell just by looking at the grass, I would not want to drive down that pipeline.
What parish is that in?
