Do they still do that? Thought satellites are their main way of looking for fires. All of the lookouts in Oregon are no longer in commission. We're either destroyed or they rent them out or are being cared for by volunteers.

It's still gonna take a few classes and time to save up enough money but get a captains liscense and dive master certificate. The goal is having a boat to take people on commercial dive trips. And your own dive shop.

I had always thought about doing farming but isnt the up start require a shite ton of $? I will do cattle on the side but it will be more of a hobby.
My dream job, being Jarod Moffet at Honey Brake or something like what he does. Farmer/guide/property manager. That or raise PBR quality bucking bulls for fun and have a working ranch with 3-5k head to make a good living.

Yes. Very hard to make it unless you take over someone's operation. Even then, you're still in a hole for a while. Not many new start up farmers make it. In my area anyway.
Go look at the price of equipment and land.
Then go look at the price of commodities.
Right now actually corn and bean prices are up, rice not so much. However, we lost probably half of our beans due to rain.

after i lost my job in 2008 i thought about getting into some kind of underwater welding, or underwater rescue(i got certified to dive about 15 years ago).
underwater welding, from what i remember pays really good, but really tough on your body.
finding dead people in a car, in water with no visibilty, did not seem like fun

Yea the beans have been up for a couple of years now, they did good on the cotton when it was high a while back now following suit with the beans. Actually may be able to buy in, well once I can afford a 200k note.

Either green jeans or be a duck guide
Out of the box be a guide on white water rafting trips. Went a few times in North Carolina and it was probably one of the funniest things I have ever done
