Downscope doesn't exist. Are you talking about live sight or live scope? Sight is garmin, scope is lowrance.

If you are talking Panoptix livescope , yes. It’s good for every fish that swims, but if I was a crappie fisherman and had the money, I’d have two....

A friend of a friend is a big time crappie tournament fisherman. He lowers his onto a structure and looks at every fish. If he doesn't see a big one, he moves on. If he sees one he likes, it's usually on the outside of the school away from the other fish. He literally lowers a bait directly onto that fish.

It's basically magic.

What no colors said is the same thing a buddy of mine told me about his. He says that he looks for the bigger fish and hunts them like trophy deer. Said he can even tell how a fish reacts to a certain color and will change based on that.
Said it’s not even fair but he loves it!!

Doesn’t it get cluttered with weeds?

I still haven't fully used mine after a recent install. I am hoping it allows me to actually catch something in the summer.
