Having been in similar situations a couple times in life, I dont have any special words of advice other than just keep on keepin on. Let your family help as much as they want, and take care of your wife. If you dont already know, you will find out shortly that ladies are stronger than us, and there is a reason you dont mess with Momma. You will look back and it will go by very fast. As I stated prior, these folks that take care of our babies are awful special and committed. I am certain he is in great hands.

Slickback believe it or not I was in the same boat as you. My daughter was born at 26 weeks and only 1lb 10oz. She spent 4 months in NICU before she ever came home for the first time and it was a rollercoaster ride for sure. We were told many of times she wasn't doing good, she will only have a 20% to be "normal" and 50% to live, and even that we needed to get to NICU asap because she wasn't going to make it through the night.
She is 9 years old now a perfectly normal. Keep up the hope just don't get to down or to high because it is one roller coaster ride. I will keep you and your wife in my prayers and if you need anything or just someone to talk with that has been through it let me know.
