We went out of Venice on Saturday looking for tuna. Couldn’t find live bait and they didn’t want our cut bait so we came home empty handed.

Fished Reggio

I fished this saturday in kayak and stangely we were the only kayaks I saw. Water was loooow in the morning and I heard so many outboards stuck. All of the spots I had picked out had a boat already there and they were slaying the trout. We moved on to find deeper water and by the time we did with incoming tide, wind picked up and water dirtied. At one point we saw 7 boats drift fishing in a line across a body of water I wont name. Everyone but us killed it.

We picked up enough for dinner and some redfish filets for friends. Also had a couple cajun sleigh rides so it wasnt too bad of a day.

Beautiful weather.

ETA: photo of typical St Bernard beauty. Yes, nose isnt against line

We had 18 out of Big Lake on Mirrodines. A couple of really nice fish but most in the 14-16" range. It was a foggy mess early Saturday morning.

Any one head out to The Rigolets area? Looking at maps seems like the spillway opening has reached there. Wanted to go this past weekend.

Fished Hopedale. Caught a lot of 13-14 inch reds. Caught 3 over 30”. Zero in the slot. Couple keeper trout. Couple bass. Water looked decent though.

Man I seriously considered it but all I had was my soft sided ice chest no way that damn thing was going in that

I made the mistake one time putting them in my soft sided ice chest. Now, I just cut the dorsal fins and throw them in there.
