Top 10 most reliable hand guns Glock has two in the top ten...

Are you saying the two are mutually exclusive? 1911's, Sigs, and FNs don't work?
Good buy OP.

Ahh, meant to say top 5.

Yea we know they're reliable. This is the same if people bragged about being in "Team Toyota Corrolla".

Oh, you're just saying that none of them can fire consistently. Gotcha.
Get real. Do yourself a favor and Google "what guns are most likely to Kaboom". The whole first page is websites discussing about how your Corrolla can turn into a live hand grenade. OP just in case you might want to practice typing with your knuckles.

Oh they all can. But again, just Google "what guns are most likely to go KB". Only Glocks on the first page.
Maybe the reason behind the very unnatural grip angle is to help divert some of the shrapnal away from ones hand once it explodes?

I think I'm going glock first now and SA XD later on. Plus block is about $100-$150 cheaper.

If you go this route I would spend the extra cash and get the XDm. The 9 has a mag cap of 19+1. I do love my XD though.
Glock is a great gun as well, I'm just giving these fanboys shite for bragging about their Carrolla thinking it's the end all be all.

I played with a SA XDm yesterday it was hard for me grip and keep the grip safety pressed in, now it fit the wife's hand like a dream my get one for her.

The XDm comes with 3 different size backstraps to fit your hand. Next time you go to your LGS ask to hold it with a different size backstrap.
I will say if you don't like the grip safety than the XD/XDm might not be for you. I personally like it because it kind of forces you to properly grip the gun, but there are people who don't like it. With XD/XDm's I really like the chamber indicator, and even though you're always suppose to know the condition of your gun it's nice to be able to look at it and know there's one in the chamber.
Give the M&P a shot as well. Another company to tryout is Sig but they're a little more pricy.

Did you catch a Glock dealer banging your wife or something? Geez.... No sense in hating on the Glock's. You're hard pressed to find a more reliable weapon. Nobody is saying XD's, 1911's, or Sig's aren't good guns. I just always had great experiences with Glocks

I don't hate Glocks, they're a great gun.

You seriously are arguing 'kabooms'?
I get the angle that it's anything but an exclusive club when you get a glock but come on... the exclusivity of glock 'kaboom' club is up there with the illuminati.

Since we're talking glocks:
~500 rds between the two (so far) and not a hiccup to speak of. Love em.

Bingo.
This is the one flaw in the XD. If you occasionally have trouble getting a proper grip, imagine what might happen under the stress of a lethal encounter.
I see too many occurrences in my classes. People get a little bit nervous during the live fire segment, and don't get a good enough grip on their XD. This is of no consequence during a CCW class -- probably of more significance if someone is in the process of slashing your throat.
Get an M&P, or a Glock -- or a SIG (with DAK trigger) -- or an HK (with LEM trigger).
And quit looking for advice on internet forums.
