Cause it’s time to thin the herd. Mostly Rouens, some Blue Suedes & a few muts

My wife ran over a hen a while back in my parent's subdivision. I threw it in the back of her suv and cleaned it when we got home. Ate it the next night. It was delicious.

There is a multi-step process that takes a few days but is extremely effective. Start by spreading a little corn on the driveway in front of the garage doors for them to eat. Slowly concentrate the feed closer to the door. Next open the door a little ways and sprinkle a fair amount of the corn inside the garage while still feeding some in front. Once they are accustomed to coming inside the door, you begin adjusting the door lower until they have to duck their heads to get inside for their corn. When you perceive that the time is right and they are enjoying their dinner close the door, begin the harvest, and then invite us all over for dinner. Sauerkraut and dumplings are traditional sides. :-):-)

Local lake we hunt had some home owners with lots of tame ducks. I told my partner if it flies, it dies. Some owners were pissed, most were happy.

Have you ever eaten duck in a restaurant? Then you’ve eaten domesticated duck.

Absolutely, they don’t fly or move as much as wild ducks so this allows them to retain a higher fat content which equals more flavor.

Rouens were bred as a meat duck, so should be good! I have 10 juveniles I'm raising specifically for eating.
