Thinking of way's to make money on the side, and I was wondering if this would be a good way. I could create a Facebook page as advertisement. That's the easy part.

I've never made one before, and thought I could make one for $20-25, but I got to looking on ebay and the sheets are $10-15 for just 2. I was hoping I could buy some in bulk for like $50.

Anybody ever made one before?

eta: the belt clips are $8 for 1.

You know what I just noticed at the truck stops?
Dip holsters, for your skoal can or whatever.
The cashier said that they sell the hell out of them.
So, you can sell damn near anything, if you have it in the right place.

I'd like kydex tool holders, not as something to wear but as a storage solution. Molded kydex strap for hanging extention cords, air hoses. Kydex clips for power tool cord management. Kydex tool box/shelf liners. Kydex measuring tape holster.

Not as cool as a Skoal ring though.

No. Quite a few years ago, I bought a press adn all the stuff to make holsters. I made a few and got bored, it was pretty time consuming.

Now, most are using vacuum presses. With the price of the press, kydex, blue guns, oven/heater, etc... I dont think its worth it.

It did come in handy when I wanted something though.

That's for sure. I brought 2 of my guns to a local guy who makes Kydex cable trays and wall bushings for us. Charged me $20 each. Makes a bunch of stuff on the side.

I think the market for holsters, dip cans, beer caddies, etc is saturated. Now...I’m talking to a guy in Texas who is making me a custom kydex Visor Organizer for my F150. I need to organize all my crap in my truck, pens, pads, knives, receipts, etc. but he’s only charging me $65. So, if you can find a niche and make a few products nobody else is selling, you may have a good run for a while. Kydex and carbon fiber are very durable as opposed to leather/cloth. Good luck!!

I wouldn’t want the liability for such little return. One accident and you are getting sued whether your holster had anything to do w it or not
