My dad was a carpenter, got splinters all his life... One day he got one in his had that got infected. Spend a week in the hospital with his hand cut wide open to let everything drain. Watch it close and don't frick around...

I know there's some bad viruses that are on saltwater fish skin...vibiro virus for one. I guess they might be able to get on the skin of a duck or on his foot/claw/nail.

Vibrio vulnificus is one serious infection if it gets going. I would seek medical attention at once.

Once there was a mallard that scratched my finger,
the pain wouldn't leave and it continued to linger.

I'm sleepy, to be continued tomorrow..

If a bottle and half of wine don't kill it off, you may be right.

Geauxt writing limericks, snake handlers putting me on a list, and everyone laughing about my ailment was enough to put me on the hooch.

All joking aside, I scrubbed the shite out of it put neosporin on it. For a little ol scratch it is painful as hell that is what prompted the thread, and a little tongue in cheek with all the health threads on the OT tonight

No, marsh water combined with the talons of a wild animal will not cause infection.
