Do Dodge Rams have the same kind of longevity as Chevys/Fords?

I'm in the market. Trying to trade in my G37 to get a full size truck. I don't have to have lots of bells and whistles. I really just want a full size, more than single cab, under 50k miles, and close to $20k or under (I'm not rich).

Seems that most of the Dodge's that are comparable to Chevy are cheaper.. I assume that's because of the resale market. Could I be happy for many years with a Dodge? Need it to last a long time

Trying to get going with a side business in the tree and landscape world and really need a truck. Thoughts?

There is no more Dodge Ram. They are also ranked in the top 10 for resale value ahead of Ford and right behind Chevy.

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 and it's been a fine truck. Currently 77k miles.

There are a lot of contractors running a round with bare bones rams. The more basic you get, the less problems you'll have

My brother had a 2013 GMC, bought it with about 25k miles on it. Had a few minor issues, nothing major. Sold it around 80k miles, bc he was getting tired of all the little issues. (Door gasket failed, radio issue, a couple of electrical issues, etc.) I know a guy with 2 Dodges, one a 1500, the other a 3500 dually. The 1500 has nearly 300k miles and the 3500 is approaching 500k. He used to run hotshots so they’ve been pushed. He loves them. I personally wouldn’t buy the ecoboost

i sell all of them. i can honestly tell you that ram is the best truck that i sell. however, it's hard to convince people of that. they will very seldom believe it. my ram customers do not call me complaining very often.

Well I was trying to link the article with resale value, but there are too many. 1 has the Ram in the top 10 and another has the F150. So I don't know who to believe. Also 1 has the Wrangler #1 and the other has the Tacoma.

I just picked up a '14 Laramie 1500 last month. Coming from a Tacoma...its pretty awesome. I get better mileage than my Tacoma and have 100x the luxury/convenience options.

I did have the battery die 2 weeks after I got it. No big deal as long as it lasts 4-5 years and isn't a actual electrical issue. Also had one of my windshield wiper nozzle crack apart. Replaced it easily. Hopefully that's the last of the issues because so far it is has been amazing.

I've drive F150s and Chevy's for work and this Ram IMO beats them out, guaranteed those our configurations with minimal interior amenities.

Crazy how they totally went away from using “Dodge” to describe their trucks. I owned an 04 5.9 Cummins and my brother an 06 and 07. All three were crap trucks except for their engines. I’m sure they have improved but we pretty much only run Ford nowadays

I'm a Sierra owner but when I buy my next truck I'm definitely going to look at and test drive a Dodge.

My dad has a 2015 Ram Ecodiesel and he loves it. He didn’t ever think he would own a 1500 diesel but the torque is great for towing his boat.

It hasn’t ever had problems and recently got a tuned ECM to turn off the EGR system. Still seems to be working quite well.
