Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine. He told me he talked to Noble and Noble told him that they were heading in the search is over. RIP "BT"
Why so soon? Didn't someone say earlier he could be floating south of the rig?

With the currents I would imagine they searched the maximum are that he could have drifted plus some

Unbelievable story. Said a quick prayer for him, as well as his family and friends. This is another example of how deadly the ocean can be, even on such a beautiful weekend in the Gulf. Hearing stories like this keep me distant from spearfishing, so to all the divers out there, tread safely and may peace be with you out in the deep blue. My buddies and I were at Tarantula and Prince, which are literally a few miles from the rig he was last scene at. Never heard a distress on the radio, and didn't know about the accident until yesterday evening when we got back.

CG stopped and then all everyone else did. They do have some friends will continue to look for him. They are a determined group to bring him home.

I can't imagine what they are feeling heading back north right now knowing he should be on the boat with them. I would imagine that is one silent boat ride, hopefully they get back out tomorrow and find the body. I have a buddy who went out yesterday and was suppose to be back earlier today that I haven't heard from yet, he's a captain so I wouldnt be surprised if he heard about it on the radio and went to help look himself

it sucks this didnt turn out better for Blake and his family and friends. If there is one thing you can take from it he died doing what he loved to do.

Very saddened to read this. Really makes you realize that what we love to do can turn on you any time. Also makes you realize take nothing for granted in life, enjoy every minute.
RIP Blake.

again, i know nothing about diving.. but, what are some of the possibilities that could have happened with seeing him on the way up, and then vanish? any ideas?
Posted on 8/14/11 at 9:34 pm to Ole Geauxt
Maybe he got bent on ascent? Causes CVA basically. Bad bad story. My heart goes to the family.

My buddies and I had a conversation about it last night and I was thinking maybe he shot something and got pulled into the rig and knocked him out. Not sure If I really wanna know. Scary shite.
