The factory fuel system is probably capable of supporting 500+ hp. Don't do anything more than that or you'll be destroying the truck.

A 6.4 could put down 600hp with an intake, exhaust, and tuner only

Probably talking about getting a new lift pump. Unless you plan on putting out major HP and running it 150+ non stop it's not necessary. Not sure if your dead set on coys but I haven't heard much good about him.

Not dead set on anyone. I'm new to the diesel ballgame. Trying to learn the who's who so I don't overpay or do something that I don't need to do

if you are looking for dependability just do the EGR blocker plate, dpf delete, intake, and programmer. If you aren't looking to make crazy power or pull heavy loads that's all you need to do. Parts should run no more than 1650 with EZLink and cheaper route on programmer will save you money. If you have any mechanical sense you can do this in your driveway. Or bring to me and I'll cut you a deal.

The 6.4 is the worst Diesel engine ever put in a light duty pickup.

Was 2009 or 2011 the first year for the 6.7?

What, like once before imploding. I saw a baw up here that had the entire roadway in a smokescreen from his 6 fo, bad enough the popo stopped him.

For about 15 minutes

You can easily string 550 hp and 1200 ft-lbs out of the current Cummins 6.7 fuel system and I think Ford uses the same system and probably can put up similar numbers as delivered. You're going to start breaking shite at those numbers. No need to swap out the fuel system to go beyond that

I just bought 6.7 ford. I'm not touching it till it's out of warranty. It has plenty power.

The 6.7 PS is very good as it is. Follow the maintenance procedures to the letter and it'll last forever. Use OEM fuel filters and change them as often or more often than the manual says to. The only thing that is bad about those engines is the water in fuel detection and separation is not very good, remedied by changing filters religiously with good filters. Other than that, they're very good.

The only thing I don't like is the exhaust cleaning. I go from 18mpg to 16mpg every time it does, if not worse.

All I'll be pulling is my 20' Ranger bass boat
