I've fished with Sidney Little out of Destin twice. Targeted trout and reds. He put us on the biggest reds I've ever caught and I'm talking by the hundreds, they were all attacking these balls of bait fish and no matter what you put in front of them it was gonna get slammed. Super cool guy and knows everything about the area. Can't help with offshore

Fished with Captain Chris on the High Cotton a couple times and have absolutely killed it. Amberjack, Cobia, Snapper, sharks....great boat and crew. Both trips were around the end of July.

Recreational and State Waters Charters snapper season runs through July 28th. Charter boat in Federal Waters runs through August 2nd.

If you're staying in Destin proper, fish out of the marina there (Harborwalk or one of the others). If you're staying out east close to Seaside, then you can consider chartering one of the 15 surf launched center consoles that fish state waters at Grayton Beach. They're much cheaper, and perfect for a group of 4. And you only run like 5-8 miles off the beach and catch snapper and grouper.

If inshore, call Blake from captainblake.com

Blake and his captains are top notch. I run 6 trips a year for years now with him for customers and they are great people. Nice boats and work hard.

I’m glad to see this. I have a trip booked with them next Friday.

Ask to catch croakers as bait too. Kids love using the snoopy rods to do that.
