dont go to Midway. Drive out to Prasek's in Sealy or Bellville Meat Market in ... Bellville.

I got several deer processed here when I lived in Houston. It was top notch, I highly recommend them.

Bellville Meat Market.

Bellville is a neat little town. Not far from Katy but feels worlds away. Sartains Awesome Shoppe is a custom woodworking shop where you can watch them turn lumber into crafts and furniture. My friend owns the place. Phenix is an actual blacksmith shop where your kids would enjoy hammering out a horseshoe into a knife.

I second the question. Why not?

I took two big deer to them last week on the recommendation of a friend. They were a little on the expensive side, but I tasted the sausage and it was really good. Normally I process my own deer but I didn't have the time.

Maxwell’s in Eagle Lake does a good job.

They also process ducks/geese into summer sausage, boudin and tamales.

Have had way too many people I know take deer to Midway and not be happy with the results. Mixed sausage batches, not getting their meat, taste issues, etc. You're gonna have complaints being in the processing business, but Midway has alot more than normal from people I know.

I have heard good things regarding Dozier's these days also.

Another vote for Doziers and/or Praseks.

Also agree don't go to Midway. Their meats are good, but for some reason they aren't as good at processing deer.

I took one deer to midway years ago as soon as they weighted the deer quarters i brought in, it told me it was the last deer i would ever bring them. I knew it would just be a combination of whoever had dropped off that day. I don't know if they still do it this way but it was enough to make me stop having them process my deer.

Now the meats and smoked sausage they produce from beef and pork is very good.
