I don't think a benelli pump can frick with a wingmaster. The wingmaster is unstoppable.

Have one of each. The remington "feels" cheaper. That being said. 870 all day long if you gotta pick one gun.

I like the wingmaster but I don't find it that awesome. Pretty sweet little gun though, no doubt.

An 870 wingmaster 16ga with a 30" full choke barrel is deer poison in the swamp

My Wingmaster is a 16. Nice gun. I'll never part with it and will always use it if I can find shells. It's just been left behind.

I won't argue against reliability. And if it's deer hunting the swamp you're doing 100% get the wingmaster, it's definitely lighter and easier to lug around than the benelli. I just like the way the benelli fits better than the wingmaster. Also, my brothers is a 2 3/4 only gun. Still a freakin sweet bird gun.

I used a Winchester 12 ga model 12 that was older than I am for a while. 28" full choke barrel, light as hell but kicked like a mule. That gun would have been an awesome deer shotgun.

I do look at shotguns alot different than most people who post here do. I deer hunt with a shotgun a pretty often. I don't think many others give any type of damn about how easy their gun is to lug through the swamp and how well it can sling buckshot.

There's a used 16ga wingmaster with a 30" full choke barrel in cabela's right now. Wish I had the money laying around for it.

True. My use is bird/squirrel. My BPS is my favorite, but my Nova is simply the best tool. I don't get the gun romance thing. They might as well be a wrench from harbor freight.

I agree with them being nothing but a tool to a certain extent. My 870 express is nothing but a meat cleaver. I do definitely appreciate a fine piece of gunsmithing though. And I have a sentimental attachment to the ones I've inherited.

Not sure if remington has a serial number database on their website, but i know ruger does. Very useful when buying used guns.
