Crabbing from a boat with nets/traps? Chicken on a string from shore? Nets from a pier?

Boudreaux Canal had plenty a couple weekends ago. About 1/3 of them were nice sized. We threw back at least half of what we caught because they were small, but still went home with more than enough. Prepare to be crabbing along side several other boats and see nets stacked though. Everyone we talked to was friendly, but you never know.

Try Island Road in Pointe Aux Chenes.

You'll need a fishing license, the grandkids too depending on their age.

Anyone have any updates on the Northshore?

We drop nets from a boat so we’re not bound to lake road. Any reports would be appreciated!

Lake Maurepas is top notch crabbing. I filled up an ice chest with blue crabs using a dip net and cut up bream and lake runners as bait
