I have been advised to drive to Baton Rouge and submit my application in person. It is my understanding that along with my application, proof of training, copy is DL and notarized affidavits. That I will need pictures to go along with my fingerprints.

I was told to wait till I get to BR and have them take the fingerprints, but I don’t see anything about pictures on my application checklist.

Do I need pictures or will that come with the $25 fingerprints fee in BR? TIA

Nor are the old style notarized documents.

OP should apply online and get printed in BR -- permit arrives in a week or two if it's a "clean" application.

as the others have stated, submit the app online upload all of your documents with the app, proof of training etc. Then once you get the email from LSP go to BR and get printed. M-F before 4pm. Fridays are pretty busy. They use your DL picture for the permit. speeds up the process dramatically to go this route.

On the online application, you upload a pic of your DL and they use that picture. Not sure about mailed in applications, but you do need a picture.

i mail in a copy of my DL. They are using the drivers license picture from a data base, not from the DL Pic that you upload.

Got mine yesterday. Took 7 days! Definitely do it online. Upload proof of training and DL. Go do fingerprints at LSP on Independence Blvd.

Are you feeling well? A factual and matter of fact comment from you?

How long after you fill out the online app do you have to go do the finger prints?

TTT

Do you fill out the online application before or after you go to state trooper for finger printing?

I was told you had to use street address for the application but I only get mail at a PO Box. Will they send the license to a PO box?
