I have been eye balling the mission menace for my 12 year old girl. Good solid bows in the mission line. Also they make a donation to a good cause as well.

Bowtech Soldier is a really nice bow and very adjustable. 30-65 pound with 21-29 inch draw length. Might be a little big for 8yo but mine got his 2 years ago at 10.

What # draw can 8 year olds pull?

Reason I ask is a friend of mine is trying to sell a Parker, but it has a narrow draw range (40-50#).

An 8 yr old will not be able to draw back 40-50lbs...most young teenagers struggle with that poundage.

Since this thread seemed like it was dieing and I didn't feel like making a new one, my wife is wanting to get into bowhunting. She cant pull back the 65# bow that I have so I've been looking at beginner bows for her. She kinda likes the Bear Apprentice or the Diamond Razors Edge. The bear seems kinda small I think for a woman that is 5'7", but it doesn't seem that much smaller than the new Mathews z7. Ya'll think that this bow would work for an adult?

Endorsed it earlier, but I'll do it again because I think it is a perfect bow for youth and women. The Bowtech Soldier my 12 year old bought about a year and half ago will be the last bow I buy him. 30-65# adustable draw weight and 21-29 inch draw lenght is perfect for growing youth or women just starting out.

thanks guys. I'll look into those. That bear just seemed kinda small, but I guess for someone with not alot of muscle, small is good. Any idea on where to find that Diamond soldier? I cant seem to locate one.
