In the Baton Rouge or surrounding area. Which dealer has the largest selection of equipment & offers the best service department.

Michael Canal & Sons out of Hammond is written up well on the net?

Make a few calls to the service centers of dealers you are looking at.
Say, I have an xyz brand they sell that is operating slower when pushing the lap bar on this side or something simple like that.
Use any service symptom that is a quick fix if they carry parts.
My shops can swap a transmission out in a day.
Some we can break down and fix max two days as we carry the parts and leave open spots for the 1 pickup truck person.

How backed up is your service right now if I bring it in today?

This will give you the answer you need.

Some dealers will of course take care of the bigger boys versus the 1 unit pickup truck & trailer guy.

You need to find the dealer that can get you in quickly and out quickly.
A broken unit sitting 3 week in the shop is not cutting your grass or if you are in business making you money.

Star Equipment in HAMMOND is solid.

Sammy Broussard in BREAUX Bridge or New Iberia has a good selection. Good service dept. but I don’t think it’s as good as Star’s service. The young lady who runs the shop at Star is outstanding.
