If you leave your climber out, what do you do to avoid seat being wet if it happens to rain the day before you want to hunt? Take the seat with you every time?

Just be a real man and sit on the wet seat. If anything, it'll make the seat quieter when you go to adjust your arse after sitting in the same position for a while

After season I spray my seat with what I believe is called Camp Dry. Aresol that is like a water repellant. When I forget to wrap the seat with a black trash bag as mentioned I normally just bring a towel and throw it over the seat. If I really want to hunt that area before it dries...

I have a net seat. Wear my waterproof bibs on every hunt because with the Louisiana humidity walking in would get me soaked otherwise. But the net seat doesnt hold water like a cushion. Dont want any part of cushion seats any longer.

Had this issue Saturday. I guess I should’ve just taken the seat. Instead, I wore waterproof pants. I stayed dry but I’ll probably take the seat from now on and it’ll probably last longer than leaving it out in the weather.

Squirrel or rat got to one corner of one of my summit stands. Best bet is to just pull the seat.

That did cross my mind.

And like Abear said, the long term weather toll.

Will probably end up,doing like skintback and gettin a net one next. Heard nothing but good about them being comfy.

Sorry to hijack but do y'all think the best way to sell one is craigslist?
Bring i t to the local coffee shop or Louisiana Sportsman and if you post a price on it after someone asks the next two questions, I’ll RA.

Don’t do this. My summit is a specialist elite sd or some shite. Anyway, they only made them for a couple years and you can tell them apart because they have round tubing instead of square. Super light. They came with net seats. I say “they” because summit made an open front and a closed front. Mines open front. But all that aside, I cut that dog shite net seat out after the first hunt and put a summit replacement. The strap on the replacement was bitten into (probably a mouse) when I pulled it out the shed this year. I bought a new replacement and it’s better than the one I put on 2 years ago.

Long story short, frick a net seat. You’ll regret that.
