I saw several of these on our trip to California. I would love to grow one here in Louisiana. However, I haven’t had any luck finding one for sale. Anybody know where I can find one? Has anyone successfully grown one on the gulf coast?

Great to know.
Now, I just need to find one if my own.

There is one between the Governor's Mansion and Capitol. I bet you could transplant it.

We have had a few silver dollar gum trees, they live 10 years then die it seems for us. Yes hard to find, may have to ask a nursery for one to be ordered for you.

Not to hijack the thread...but does anyone know if there is any truth to the theory that mosquitoes don't like Eucalyptus trees?

My mother lives in Haughton and had that tree. It thrived for ~6 years but it couldn’t withstand last winter.
