Christmas Tractor Implement Gift

It’s Christmas and I’m shopping for an implement for my JD 5045E tractor. I’m looking at a grapple bucket. Folks say it’s wonderful. Any thoughts or ideas that I need to consider. Open to other implements also. I’ve got a bale spear and a bucket already.

Grapple sounds good to me. You can grab shite and load it
Unless you need a set of forks more, but I could use a grapple way more than a set of forks.
Do you need to grade a driveway? Need a blade of any sort?

I thought about a box blade but no real driveway issues. I like the ability to pick up stuff. Granted with the grapple, I’ll have to deal with maneuvering hydraulic hoses around.

Get a green titan grapple. Don’t buy John Deere and thank me later

Grapple is the best thing I bought with my stump grinder being a close second. I have the land pride 72” grapple. If you have lots of Woods it is a must imo

Rotary tiller or finish mower. Hard to know without having some background of what kind of ground you own.

Thanks Dr Morgus and bayoudude for those recommendations. I was just going to buy the JD grapple. I like the idea of other options.

A bionic blade has been very nice for my my driveway.
I have a KubotaMX5100 and probably use the bushhog more than anything else for cutting fire lanes, plots , and maintenance in the woods. The grapple is on my short list of implements for sure. Do you have pallet forks for your loader? Those come in handy.

Depends on what you `do` with your tractor
I have the Armstrong Ag 72" grapple(made in Brenham Tx.)...most used tractor implement I have

Pallet forks are definitely on my Christmas list also.

A Woodland Mills PTO Wood Chipper is on my list. Short of a HD bush hog, the most useful and most abused implement I have is a old Bush n Bog Disc harrow. It is a beast.

I have the woodland mills wg24 stump grinder and it has performed flawlessly l. With a hydrostatic tractor it makes short work of stumps.

I just bought one and have only ground 5-6 stumps but I’m so in love with that thing. I have stumps in my food plots I work around, and I have 3/4 acre next to my house with 15-20 year old gums that I will cut down and grind the stumps this spring and summer I can’t wait.

I’ve run an Armstrong grapple on a similarly sized tractor and it’s a good, tough and strong tool IMO.
