I wish it had been a badger or a wolverine that had got in there instead of that coon...

Less than 1%. It's really close. Chimps are the closest, followed by bonobos and gorillas. All are extremely closely related genetically

Chimps and bonobos can produce fertile young, right?

Watched a video of that too. It's like watching a gang fight from when I was in high school

I'd like to think there are those among us who are closer than others to that 1%.

I can take you to some places in Baton Rouge that would have you doubting any genetic difference at all.

I believe so. They're both considered chimpanzees, bonobos are just smaller. And less violent. But they have sex a lot. A whole lot. Gay sex too.

We watched a video on that too

Wait, I've seen lots of coons acting like chimps before, but never a bunch of chimps ganging up on a coon.

Oh, by the way, if any of you are offended by racism I would recommend that you not use the terms "coon" and "chimp" in any manner whatsoever in the same Google search.

Not exactly chimps, but I do have a primate story that involves hunting, this reminded me of it.

LINK

Lease I used to hunt on as a guest in the Dilley Tx area was made available to the then leasee (late 90's) as a result of this monkey shooting. The former leasee's guests shot the monkeys and hung their carcasses on an exterior fence of the property; this act cost them hunting rights to approx 2,000 acres of low fenced prime deer hunting in Texas' famed 'Golden Triangle'. Many P&Y deer taken on that lease, several B&C ones, and one they got on a game camera was without a doubt over 200", unfortunately no one ever got it.

Idiots!!!!

Had I been present, I could have easily shot all humans in the face with a judge and gladly let the coon piss on them.

That sound track pissed me off, especially the idiot laughing. It's nature, shite happens, but it's not for our amusement. I hate people.

About 20 years ago, a guy shot a spider monkey not too far from where I hunt in Arkansas. He said there was a whole troop of them. No explanation for them has ever been provided and as far as I know, no one has ever seen them again. But there was a dead monkey on the front page of the paper.
