Changing shocks on a jeep.

My weekend project is changing out my stock shocks on my 2010 wrangler, had anyone here done this and could give me an idea of what to expect?

3 nuts per shock for the front 4 (I think) for the rear, easy as pie

Yes, its easy, even easier if you have air ratchets.
What exactly do you want to know? Do you need step by step for the JK?

Buy can of PB Blaster and spray tonight and tomorrow before you wrench on it. Get bigger socket set or breaker bar. Get box/open end wrenches

Already sprayed them down with some WD 40, if I could get a step by step or anything to be honest. I figure the more info I can get the better

Give me a minute to look up the sizes for the sockets. Like I said, it's easy. I change parts on the suspension all the time (07'jk).
ETA. do you have air tools?

I don't have air tools, I feel like i would rather the gentleman of the OB know of my lack of knowledge, than have to screw up and come back and post pictures of just how I screwed up and hope someone can help me fix it.

Start with the front it's harder. Put is up on jack stands and put the jack under the pumpkin. wheels off.
Disconnect sway bar, 18mm socket and wrench
You might need to disco the track bar, it's up to you. 21mm socket(air impact or breaker bar here)
Remove top nut from shock. here is where it is better to have an air ratchet or ratcheting wrench set. use 16mm deep socket if you have an air rachet or 16mm ratchet wrench. underneath the shock tower, but above shock use a 5/8 wrench to hold shock from spining.
18mm socket and wrench for the lower nut.
repeat on other side, then in reverse to put back together
rear in next post

same as front, jack stands and jack under pumpkin
detach sway bar links 18mm socket and wrench
track bar like before up to you. it helps give you some more room to lower the axle if you need to. 21mm socket and cant find the other side and it can be hard to get to as I recall. use a larger crescent wrench
now for the shocks
16mm socket and longer extension (12") remove two bolts holding the bar pins to the frame
18mm socket and wrench to remove the lower
rinse repeat, reverse. you are done. watch out for the shock to push out when you undo the last bolt either top or bottom. busted a finger one time when it expanded quickly and shoved it against the asle mount
This thread reminds me I need to replace my fronts. I blew out the drivers side on a long drop. I am debating on going coil overs

Because its not hard, all i have him doing is discoing the sway bar, maybe the trackbar. and its better to have the axle down further when the shock decompresses when you remove the packaging to keep it compressed.

Yes, and its absolutely unnecessary to unbolt it to change shocks. I changed the ones on my Jeep a couple times without even taking the tires off.
