awesome fish, I went once and was not impressed (probably due to the fact that we did not catch anything) sounds like your trip went a lot better

Awesome fish! How were the seas? We are going out tomorrow with Voodoo charters fishing for tuna. Just wondering how sick I should plan on being. Marine forecast is showing 3-4s tomorrow.

Good luck in my experience you normally add to the forecast not take away. It's fishable but IMO not fun. If you get sick start taking Dramamine or better yet an Rx'd Scopalomine patch now it will work better tomorrow. Also while hard to do lay off the booze tonight and tomorrow it will help immensely.

OP... On a charter or on your own? Nice fish!!

I went out with Tails up Fishing. He is a friend of a co-worker. I split bait and gas with them due them practicing for upcoming swordfish tourney. Saturday we put 6 snapper and 6 tuna in the boat before heading out for swordfish. No bite saturday and went back out sunday and landed this fish around 3pm. He is a great guide and i highly recommend him for offshore fishing. You have to know with swordfish your chances of coming back empty handed are high.

the seas were okay saturday. Sunday was a beat down but it didn't matter when that swordfish made that rod bend!

Is that legal? Or is the swordfishing grounds in LA waters?
