Lil Dawg and I hit a pond with a buddy of mine today and he put it on us pretty good. He caught these 3. The biggest two weighed 11-6 and 7-10. The other was around 4. His biggest fish ever, by far. Not bad for a 6 year old.

I can't believe someone down voted this.

Some of the best memories I have of my dad were of us fishing together.

What'd you use for bait?

That is ridiculous you kept the catfish knowing they were spawners. I wish people would throw back fish during the spring when they know the fish lay eggs.

Bossier, I like to catch spawners so I can eat fried roe sacks. I don't think keeping a mess from a 20 acre pond impacts the ecosystem too much. AL Gore and you can rest easy now.

Jesus dude, they're catfish.

And one more thing, what's the difference in keeping them with or without eggs? They're never going to spawn again anyway.
It might make you feel better about yourself, but biologically, it makes no difference.

It sounds like a private pond, affects no one but the person who's pond it is. No skin off your arse mind your own business.

You missed the point. Killing spawning fish kills a belly full of babies. Go read the Toledo Bend threads, None of us on the OB want people to kill babies

You probably couldn't keep catfish out of a pond if you tried.

When did catfish land on the endangered species list? Sounds like it was a private pond or lake anyhow. I feel like the ecosystem will manage somehow, someway.

Don't pay attention to Bossier, he's just a troll. He was going at it hard in the last few Toledo Bend threads we had.

Yes, and taking them out of the pond is better for the overall health of the pond, then keeping them in it.
