Until they ban ALL BLINDS, that dude had every right to build his blind on that lake.

I know he had every right, but for someone to take a mother fricking backhoe, dig a hole, and bury the guy's blind is freaking awesome

That's crazy, I paid $850 to hunt 3 days in Oklahoma and killed more than I did all season here

Things you could kill for 6k that are more worth it than ducks

Booner Whitetail - Canada
SCI Rocky Mountain Elk - Co,Wy
Red Stag - Argentina (hunt, not flight)
about 1/2 dozen african plains game (see above)
Black Bear - Alaska
Desert Big Horn - New Mexico
Mule Deer - Out West
...

I am just amazed none of those burned out or backhoed out ciceros didn't retaliate by baiting the heck out of said spot and making a call....

The funny thing is....

I have never stepped foot anywhere near Catahoula Lake

I can only imagine how frustrating it can be for people that actually try and hunt it.

I drove by it once on my way to a crawfish boil and thought.....I wonder if that's public, looks like it'd be good duck hunting

actually its not, but people with this line of thinking is why nothing will ever get done out there. That and the political connections of the people that hunt and guide out there.

I concur! Without this thread I would have been very bored these past few days. Now all we need is a "What parish is truly the sportsman's paradise" thread so the guys in the south can try to explain how salt water fishing trumps mega ducks and big bucks!

Tensas really sucks at anything except bear watching. You might have lucked up and had a rare duck hunt but that was all it was.
