We adopted a BMC/German Shepard mix in January. That sucker is off the walls all day. I ran him for a solid hour the other day, he laid down for 20 minutes and was ready to go again. Part of that is he is a year old, but my gosh that dog is the energizer bunny. We have to replace his toys after a day or two because he destroys them.

Bought him a Kong Tennis Bone a few weeks ago and it lasted about two days before he had the cover pulled off of it.

He is a great dog though, and he seems to be able to pick out the bad people on the block pretty easily. Yes my dog is racist.

Don Abney is by far the best breeder around. He is in Abita Springs. I have an 8 month old female from him and she is a wonderful dog. abneycatahoulas.com

Here is a pic of mine at about 3 months shy of 14 yrs old with my little girl on her first day of school. He started destroying my yard when he got sick as you can tell in the pic at one of his favorite places to lay.

Thanks Langston
She's a little bigger now. These were taken back in Jan. She was about 5 months old. They are the most recent I have of her up close.

I've had two catahoulas. Both crazy but in their own different ways. I still love them but they've got some un-endearing qualities.

This is my catahoula and "his" boy. Those two are best friends

This is the only good one I have that shows his markings, those on his chest are all he has besides his toes being white too

Not sure how familiar you are with them but here is a great page Abney has that I learned a lot from. Read up for a few minutes and look at his pups. Great stuff.

I have had one Cat. Cur and she was the sweetest, most loyal, protective dog I have ever had.
Sadly, after I lost her to cancer, I have not even wanted to get another dog, so I can only tell you about her.
Good luck, whatever you go with.

I went to your link. Beautiful dogs.

With that said, Momma says no for any dog right now. We have always had three or four. Now we just have two and it is cheaper. Yard looks better also.

This damn redbone she has will probably out live me. I hate that dog.
